Introduction to Parents

The Moama and District Preschool is a progressive Pre-school that offers a safe, secure and happy learning environment.

The dedicated staff offer flexible and stimulating program that reflects the needs of individual children, as well as the overall needs of each group. The Curriculum incorporates all areas of development and is related directly to the Early Years Framework and the National Quality Standards. The children develop through active participation in activities/experiences planned and unplanned. These will always concentrate on the  process of learning through play rather than the end product.  We view all children as capable learners and the curriculum will reflect the individuals and groups needs, these will be evaluated by educators on a daily basis.

The Moama and District Preschool supports an anti-bias curriculum that values all children regardless of race, gender and differing abilities as we aim to promote a positive self concept in all children and families.   We also promote the Australian Early Childhood Code of Ethics and have developed our own Centre’s Philosophy.

Parent participation and comments (verbal or  non verbal)  is welcomed and encouraged, as the Preschool views itself as an extension to each child’s life.

Due to the unique relationships many border towns experience the preschool observes the Victorian school holidays along with the local Moama Primary School and as do the majority of the local businesses.

Operating Hours are: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm (With various sessions running daily).
